Scholarship Winners

The Women’s Choral Society is proud to offer scholarships each year to vocal performance students at the University of Oregon’s School of Music and Dance. The scholarships are funded through the Maud and H. B. Densmore Music Endowment Fund, and are administered by the University. Here are last year’s winners.

Maud and H.B.Densmore Scholarship Soloists 


Mahsheed Massarat, mezzo-soprano from Beaverton, Oregon, is a Senior Vocal Performance major at the UO School of Music where she studies with Milagro Vargas. She is a member of University Singers and the UO Opera Ensemble. She is excited to be a Densmore Scholarship soloist in her final year at UO. Her dream is to have a career as an international artist, singing operatic and musical theatre repertoire, and traveling around the world!



Elizabeth Reynaud, a soprano from Portland, Oregon, is a freshman at University of Oregon majoring in Vocal Performance. She studies with Milagro Vargas and is a member of University Singers. She is honored to receive the Densmore Scholarship and cannot wait to grow as a musician over the next four years.
