The Women’s Choral Society is proud to offer scholarships each year to vocal performance students at the University of Oregon’s School of Music and Dance. The scholarships are funded through the Maud and H. B. Densmore Music Endowment Fund, and are administered by the University.
Maud and H.B. Densmore Scholarship Soloists
Elizabeth Reynaud, a soprano from Portland, Oregon, is a senior at University of Oregon majoring in Vocal Performance. She studies with Milagro Vargas and is a member of Chamber Choir. She is honored to receive the Densmore Scholarship and cannot wait to grow as a musician. This is Elizabeth’s fourth year as a Maud Densmore scholarship recipient.
Although born on the east coast, Marjorie considers her hometown to be Portland, Oregon. She is a senior Vocal Performance major at the University of Oregon studying under Milagro Vargas. She has sung in many different vocal ensembles including Pacific Youth Choir, the Eugene Symphony Chorus, and the University of Oregon Chamber Choir. Marjorie will perform in the UO Opera Ensemble’s production of Il matrimonio segreto as Fidalma in late January and will have her senior recital in May. After graduation, she plans to take a gap year and return home to Portland before going on to pursue a Master’s in Vocal Performance. Marjorie is honored to be a Maud & H.B. Densmore Memorial Scholarship recipient and is excited to perform with the Women’s Choral Society for the first time!
